Parents, who to sit next to?

I have to go to a funeral tomoro and both my parents are going however they wont sit next to each other (divorced) and I have to choose one to sit next to who do I choose?

Well it depends who you are closer to if your mom then sit next to your mom and if its your dad sit next to your dad!!!

thats the problem I get on well with both and dont want to hurt either of them and I dont really want to sit on my own as its the first funeral I have been to

Do you see one parent more than the other? Sit with the one you see the least...Is one parent going to have a harding time with this funeral than the other? Sit with the one who needs your support...

You can make choices based on things other than feeling like the rope being pulled between two people...

I'd sit with neither personally, or ask them both to swallow their pride and sit together of one measly funeral. you could sit between them.

Be with one parent during the service and the other at the grave site. Talk to both of them before hand so they will know, but make your decision before you talk so it doesn't set up a tug of war for your company.
If that won't work, go with a friend (if possible) and sit next to neither one.
