How can I tell my parents I have a boyfriend?

ok, so I started going out with a guy today and I dont know how to tell my parents. this is my first boyfriend, so how do I tell them? any suggestions?

I used to wait and just let my parents find out themselves. I always felt uncomfortable talking about things like this with them. I seriously do NOT suggest this. I wish I would have just casually brought it up in a conversation. There are always times when it would be perfect to sneak it in. I do suggest telling a story about this boy (at an appropriate time in conversation). Then that can lead into another story about this boy.. that he asked you out. This way you can see your parents' reaction to the boy before telling them that you two are together. They should understand. Just do NOT do what I did.. you'll end up not seeing him very often :'(
