Old spayed female dog with lump on her belly.

Asked by fluffmeister 4 months ago, 1 answer.

My dog is about 12 years old, is a four way cross which includes german shepherd and lab. She has a strange lump on the left side of her belly, just after the ribcage. The lumped area is red and quite hot to the touch. She was splayed a few years ago...

after an infection. She's currently limping a bit on her back left leg and she tries to lick at the area. I have not noticed any changes in appetite or thirst.

Do I have to take her to a clinic or will the problem go away by itself?
