Do I have to have an abortion if my mom wants me to?

Im 14 and pregnant, im excited but my moms trying to make me get an abortion!!! what do I do? do I HAVE to? is it up to me??

if I were you I'd be at that clinic faster then my mom could even suggest getting an abortion.

I agree-it's your body/your decision. go to planned parenthood and talk to a counselor. they're good and not just about trying to talk you into an abortion. good luck.

well it should be up to you. If it was me and I coulden't take care of the baby I whould have it and then put it up for adoption or find a nice family because abortion is wrong and you whould be taking away somone's life.

live your life... thats all I have to say... im pretty sure you will regret it when you eventually have to drop out of school and figure out how to support the child. You are two young for all that... and I don't think you know what you are getting yourself into. My mom had me and my sis at 23 and she could barely make it at that age...

You can do it if it is really what you want! It will be very hard for a 14 year old! This is the only time you will ever hear me say not to listen to your parents but I really dont think you should! Honestly, I think it's really stupid to have sex at 14, but since it's already happened to you, there's really no point in telling you that. Um, but, I don't believe in abortion. In my eyes, it's killing a human being. Wheather that human is in the world yet, or inside you. It's still a living creature that didn't do anything to deserve being destroyed.

And yes, it is your decision if you want an abortion. But think it through VERY VERY VERY hard, because you have to live with that decision for the rest of your life. Good luck.

Shouldn't it be the guardian of the pregnant minor's decision? Since your mother is your guardian, I think just like anything else, whatever she says goes. How can you go against your mom's authority? What ru going to do, runaway? You can go to jail for that.
Its a hard situation. I'm not sure what the right thing is to do. I really don't have any opinion on whether abortion is right or wrong yet, cause there are situations where I do think its necessary to get an abortion.

It is your right to not have to have an abortion BUT in saying that I think your mum is just trying to let you live your life before yo have to be in charge of another life. It is really hard work and some people who have done it at your age will say go ahead and have the baby but I would like to suggest that they remember how much hard work it is.
Why not sit down and write two lists one being pro and one being cons of having a baby at your age and read them back to yourself. I am going to get some sites for you to go onto regarding young mums and giving birth at a young age. xx
