NoseBleed advice

I have a cold, and for the past three nights I have had nosebleeds.I just wondered if there is anything I can do to help prevent these or when I get one what should you do. Some say tip your head forward others say backwards?

Answer #1

If its bad and always happens go to the docters me and my grandad both have broken blood vesles in our nose’s his is worse and used to bleed quite a lot he had to have a little operation on it but didnt hurt at all mine isnt that bad but when they do happen I find its best to just sit down and keep your head upright and get a thick soft bit of tiisue and pinch ure nose and breath calmly through your mouth

Answer #2

Never tip your head backwards - all that does it makes the blood run into your throat and can choke you.

As for what you can do when you get one:

-Hold Pressure on it. -Cold Compreses (never use hot it will make it bleed more)

Answer #3

Try not to take any aspirin for your cold. Aspirin thins your blood and can cause nosebleeds. Rather ask your doctor or pharmacist for ibuprofen or paracetamol

Answer #4

If it’s bleeding because you’re taking cold medicine you can also try putting a little bit of vaseline in your nose to keep it moist.
