I'm a system / network engineer for a public school system.

Depending on the types of networking equipment and / or software that they have in place your every mouse click and key stroke could be recorded. plus erasing your history only works at the local level and not on the network device level that has already recorded that PC / IP address / MAC address / User ID from accessing non - educational material.

Usually though its the teachers responsibility to initiate any disciplinary action except where the student violates the law.

Beware. We have students that are no longer able to use computers in our system. We also have some that are not allowed to use them without over the shoulder super vision.

Please take the acceptable use policy seriously. Computer use in your school is not a right it is a privilege.

most school computers have firewall so at makes it difficult but, not imposible to get on myspace or facebook. so what you can do is go to http://www.proxyvan.com that should get you on if not go to internet settings and deactivate firewall it wont be hard just dont get cought
