My poem..what do you think?

Darkness

I'll close my eyes and shut all the world out. They will never know where I am or why I left them. Nor will they care that I'm gone and lost in a lonely empty dream. For they will never know what goes on in my head, or why my heart has turned...

such a dark shade of black, so cold and carless. May I linger in my thoughts while others search? or is that wrong of me? to keep them shut out, locked out. I long to be out of this dark room behind my eyelids. Yet I fear the world its self. I will never allow myself to leave my safe lifeless room. But, I know I have to face the world sometime head on at full speed.
