My mum said I'm too laid back

I asked my mum if I could get my tounge pierced. She was like "The only reason I wouldn't let you have it because you're too laid back. You wouldn't clean it because you aren't bothered, and I'd be constantly asking you if you'd cleaned it." Do you think its bad that I'm so laid back!? I am, though.. I've just realised really! Like my sister is almost 16 and hasn't drank or taken drugs or ever really got into much trouble... I'm the total opposite. I don't care about school, my health, my body. Anything really! Is it bad that I'm too laid back?!

yes mostly it is bad. that can affect your pride and self-esteem. you should probably take more pride in your self than you do. If you really want your tongue pierced you should step up, and not only for the reason that you want something but also for yourself. It would show your parents that you are ready and mature enough to get whatn you want, and it will also help you in the long run throught your life

Ya it is and why dont you act better and start mabie caring about yourself a little more. I think that your a little more than laid back dude theres a difference of being laid back and lazy///not giving a sh*t about yourself.

Yes - you must take the initiative to stay fit / productive in all areas of your life - you will not get ahead by slacking.

I didn't mean I don't care about my body as in I'm obese. I drink a lot and smoke a lot. I'm not going to go into details about me, but darkangel was right, I don't give a sh*t about myself. That was the point... I want to start caring, but I don't see a point because I don't really care if I die tomorrow, it won't really bother me - I'm not suicidal though.. I just don't care.

Maybe to the extent.
Your mother is probably right that you're too laid back. You can be laid back but, only to an extent.
You should try to keep your body healthy like your sister. But, since you say you don't want to do that because your laid back, then that's your choice.
But, yeah, maybe you should let up.
