Dear loveless,
You can prevent death but things happen to pets. But if you have other like cats and dogs just make sure that they dont get to them. But if you take your hamster out just make sure that you have like a fenced up area or something they sell them at pet stores. Because the most often death for hamsters is getting lose in your house your bad tempurtur. but make sure your extra care of your beloved pet and dont get over worked up on it.
dear loveless
what you can do is try putting her stuf in the same place as before and wall you play with her have your mom or dad change the cage and when you put her back put her in one of the houses so she is in somthing she is used to then in a day or so she will explore the new cage this is a good thing. And at this point you can put liquid vitimans in her whater thay sell them at any pet store and follow the derections on the bottle, the liquid vitamans will prevent her from getting sick also evry week give her a small amount of raw cabige this will help also.
Hope this hellped,
Hamster Lover
p.s.ceep in toch!!I love the questions.
ok, if she's lonely, not married.
then you should get her married!
my first hamster died because she wasn't married!! and she was living all alone!!
she lived for around 1 year and 8 months! and when she died I figured out that it's because she was lonely!! I asked a profetional that I usually visit from time to time!
and right now I'm looking for a husband!! (lol)
but you should get her/him married!! cause I cried when she died (I came from school found her dead!!) and I truly dont want others to cry when their hamsters die!
hope I helped!
lol

How to help my hamster have a long good life?
She is a Siberian Dwarf, at this point she's about a year and 3 months old. We use Carefresh bedding, and Nutriphase food. Her cage, (a Critter Trail) is falling apart. We are getting her a S.A.M cage. I'm not exactly sure which one though...How can I...
make her move as comfortable as possible? Also, is there anything I can do at this point to help her live longer? I know the average lifespan is around 2 years...
