Yesterday I was about to upload pictures and I noticed my battery was almost dead, but I want too worried because uploading pictures takes like five seconds. I turned it off and unplugged it when I was done, then tried turning it on again a little later and it wouldnt turn on, so I changed the batteries, and it still wouldnt turn on, so I figured those batteries were dead too. I left it on my desk and came back a couple minutes later and the side where the batteries are was super hot, so I took the batteries out and they were also super hot.

I have NO idea whats going on, it was working perfectly fine a couple days ago.
Please help me!

are you using lithium batteries? I know the the AA battieries can sometimes drain really fast and it tends to keep the back and the batteries really hot.
try to change the battery to lithium, if it wasnt already, to one of the pre-charged batteries.

Also in the back of the manual of the camera there should be a section devoted to situations that could arise, like the camera not powering or no image on the screen, see if there is one for this situation. If you lost the manual, go to the website for the camera..

if you still find nothing try changing the charger itself, if could be a faulty charger...and if that doesnt help...the camera itself is broken.

They were lithium batteries. It didnt come with a charger..

I think im going to buy some BRAND NEW lithium batteries tonight and see if it works, and if not just take it to a camera shop or something.

thanks though.
