My belly button piercing.

Asked by fau 5 months ago, 3 answers.

Um I recently got my bellybutton pierced on april 7th. And it was doing fine until a couple days ago I noticed that there's a bump like thing inside/around my piercing, it hurts and it was pussing. so my older sister being the idiot she is, told me its...

like a pimple with puss in it. And she told me to try and squeeze the puss out and I did and some came out then it started to bleed. So I just haven't touch it since then. So it looks like the holes around the ring are tightning up. So does this all mean that my belly button is infected?

The fact that your belly button had a bump with puss in it probably does mean that it's infected. It's not a pimple, it's just your body's reaction to having something foreign put into it. I've had this happen to me it was really sore and quite infected. I would suggest keeping it clean, not touching it or letting much of anything rub on it trying to clean out the infection. I am not sure where you live so I don't know what products are available to you, but I would recommend using Spectro (which is a gel cleanser that you normally use on your face for treatment of acne, can buy it at Wal-Mart, Zellers, drug stores, etc.) and using that with water to clean it, once in the morning and once at night. I would also suggest boiling some water mixing in sea salts with it until they dissolve. Let the water cool a bit because you don't want to burn yourself and put it in a cup then hold it on your belly button and let your belly button soak in it for at least 15 minutes. The salt will help draw out the puss and the infection. And try and let the air get to your belly button as much as possible. If your at home roll your shirt up but be careful not to hit your piercing on anything.

It Happened To Me Aswell, Its Not An infections, Its your Body Rejecting It, But Should Go Away If Looked After Properly, And Cleaned Thoroughly With Sea Salt And Warm Water .
