Can i swim in a lake after gettin my belly button pierced

I want to get my belly button pierced I work at a summer camp and I love swimming in the lake ..but I was told I wouldnt be able too because of the bacteria..is this true??

yes,
but if the lake looks clean then you should be fine
usually its not advised to swim in swimming pools because of the chlorine and bacteria
you can still swim in the ocean and in lakes
it would be best to wait 3 months to let it heal a bit first though
