How to convince my parents for a belly ring?

Wait until you are 18 years old and then they can't say no. If you want it to be done before then, then I am sorry but you don't have the right to defy your parents unless you are like I was and you just go do it anyway and deal with the consequences, which, in your case, might include your parents making you get it removed. Why is it so important to get one anyway? It's just a peice of metal in your body. There are SO many other things in life to worry about than a body peircing and you have SO many years in your life after you turn 18 that you can just do whatever you want. I hope that your grades are good and everything if you are actually wasting your time with this...

lol unfortunately I've been down this route, mind you I was a couple years older than you are when I asked and I was also denied the experience. do not attempt this, but I pierced my own belly button without my parents knowledge. again I must severely stress to you not to attempt this. you could get all sorts of infections or you could have the same thing happen to you that happened to me. my ring got caught on my jeans and ripped out. I've since redone it with much better results, but the scar the first piercing left behind was definately not worth the pain or effort. I might also add that this is not a piercing for anyone with a low tolerance to pain. upon getting your piercing you will have to suffer thru weeks of sharp agonising pain anytime you move even the slightest bit. its hard to stand, or sit down, its excruciating to breathe even. I would try asking permission again when you turn 16, if the preceeding information hasnt completely dissuaded you. a word from the wise, take it from someone who loves body modification, be very very sure about how you modify your body. piercings arent exactly permanent, but they do leave scars that never fade. make sure this is something you really want to do and not just something you want because youre conforming to the status quo of whats considered cool.

I was 16 when I got mine. and my parents are against piercings and everything..what I did was waited until I got home from vacation and all of my friends were doing it and I think I said something like I really want mine done! everyone at dance as it done, and if I dont like I'll take it out, nobody will even see it unless im in a bathingsuit but I don't know it was a few years ago..good luck!

well, when I was 13, I got mine done. at first, my parents were hesitant, but after showing them that its normal and that nothing will happen or change when its done they finally gave in. maybe tell them why you want it..
