Heh- you think you eat too much? Try one of my average days:
~Big bowl of cereal
~Pottle of yoghurt
~cup of peppermint tea
~piece of fruit
~sandwich
~cheese and crackers
~pottle of fruit salad
~a cupcake
~Chicken breast with mashed potatoes, peas, carrots, corn
~Bowl of jelly with a dolop of cream
I eat all that food because I need it during the day- my job involves me running around after 2 young children and cleaning a large house, and I get hungry!
I think people are worrying too much about how much they eat. Provided you're not constantly feeling like you're going to burst, you're eating a balanced diet, and you're getting exercise into your day, it should be fine.
