Its funny you should ask. My uncle has raised 3 spider monkeys so I basically know what to do. I don't really know were to get monkeys.Taking care of a monkey is like taking care of a baby. You have to buy diapers, this is an easy way to clean out they're little droppings
you have to look online and see what to put in the baby bottle for you to feed your monkey. And you should have time, a place to put him in, and all the right toys hope this works
Monkeys do not make good pets. When you do your research you will know that. Reconsider owning a monkey, there are so many horror stories out there and the odds are that you will just be another one in the end.
Monkeys become dangerous and aggressive when they hit puberty. If you are living alone then be prepared to for the rest of your monkeys life(about 30 years). Monkey will not accept "intruders" into their homes and will attack them, they don't care if its your girlfriend/boyfriend, new baby, etc.
The monkey trade is very sad, these precious animals are not made to be pets. Many end up being abandoned when they become aggressive. The luck ones are accepted into sanctuaries, the others are dumped from home to home or euthenized.
Please check out these links, and the decide if monkey ownership is still the responsible choice:
