Do you know anything about chinchillas?

1. Can 1 Chinchilla fit in a 10 gallon tank?
2. Can I buy just 1 and it wouldnt be lonely?
3. What are some drawbacks of owning a Chinchilla?

Im looking for a new pet but I want it to be exotic

Um you should ask the pet store and google for better answers...
All I know is that they need this special dust stuff because they take dust-baths.
And... I dont think it will be lonely!
But I think they need a lot of attention and they arent the easiest pets to take care of... >_<

Chinchillas get rather big, as far as rodent-pets go. A 10 gallon would be too small for an adult. You would want a tank or cage with at least twice as much square footage as a 10 gallon aquarium.

it takes a dump a lot and there the best pet I ever owned. yes you can buy 1, no it wont be lonely if you play with it

First of all I would get a cage instead of a tank. They do not nessesarily need a friend in with them but you can if you like. they are nice but may nip at first. my daughter has one and it does,nt nip now because they hold it and play with it more, also don,t make the mistake of giving it too much fruit at once, it should be a treat once a week.
