Ask them straight out first - there is always a catch. I tried it with one modelling agency that was advertised in the local paper. Thought it was great so there must be a catch. Went along, not many people there. Couple of already done up models with brillaint portfolios. Gave me an application form and a guidline contract to sign. I read the small print AT THE BOTTOM!!! I would have to pay £325 to join this agency. If I was to go on and get a GOOD job, my money would be refunded - gauranteed.
However if I did not go on to find a good job - my money isn't refunded. This is the same with most modelling agencies
Ooooh, I see. Hm, ima have to rethink this.

Models end up paying them?
If you look at my last question you'll know that there's this modeling agency hiring models my age and I was thinking of trying it out (they accept begginers
) but a few people said some stuff about models ending up paying the company more than the company pays them?
Does this happen a lot?
How can I know if these people will do it to me?
