Could anti-depressants cause a missed period?

Roll Tide Baby! Asked by katieb over 2 years ago, 1 answer.

Could the reasoning behind missing a period be because of anti-depression medication? ... I know some medications that you recently start sometimes have something to do with it, but would anti-depression medication be one of them?

Hi,

I haven't heard of that, but you should call the physician who prescribed the anti-depressant as well as your OBGYN and ask. A lot of times the receptionists can help you, so you don't even have to wait and talk to the doctor.
