look this up online. there are heaps of foods you can eat at diferent times of the day that kick start your metabolism. also eating a good brecky in the morning and lots of water helps. somke foods eaten together can slow it down also. thats why I say to look it up online so you can get a really good idea. smaller meals throu out the day help too,.

Run or swim, basically any aerobic excersize to get your heart really working can help a lot.

Eat breakfast... don't skip it. If you eat breakfast that increases your body to start working early on in the day and all day. don't skip meals, eat snacks. It might sound weird that I'm telling you to eat, but if you don't eat that just slows down your metabolism. eating and exercising help your metabolism to go up.

I'm serious.
the more often you eat, the faster your metabolism gets.
just have lots of HEALTHY snacks
like fruit and veggies. nothing fattening, then you'll just gain weight.

As other people said, try to eat the same healthy amound of food recommended for you but in more meals. Instead of eating 3 times a day, take the meals and seperate them into like 3 so you can get 9 meals that you can eat through the day at each hour and a half or so. It really will boost your metabolism.
This might seem a bit contraversial, but from personal experience I've realized that coffee and cigarettes increase your metabolism by a lot - I lost some fat around my hips from smoking and walking way too much.
