Having a split tongue means just that - the person’s tongue is split. It’s usually down the center, kind of like a lizard’s tongue.There really isn’t any “meaning” behind it/ It’s just another for of body modifications. Piercings, like tattoos, are forms of art. They are not meant to be got because it’s “cool” or anything like that. They are supposed to be got because the person that has them actually wants them. There’s nothing gross or creepy about it at all. As long as it’s done professionally and properly taken care of, there’s nothing wrong with it at all.

theres a few meanings body modifications like that go back thousands of years when doing it was considered more attractive to the opposite sex, made you a stronger person, you were looked up to by others, ect so some people do it in a traditioinal way others want to look like something, such as that man who split his tounge because he wants to look like a lizard, and has made himself look like one some people like to get small body parts modifyed, among the tounge theres also places like the ears and some people just want to, they like it, like the look/feel of it, its something different and just another way to express oneself its not like a peircing, because its modifying your flesh, not puting something in it and most people who get it done will want it for a reason or meaning its not like kids go out and go…”im going to get my tounge split because it looks cool”
