They're all consecutive whole numbers. If you let n = the first whole number, then your last number (the 9th number) would be equal to n + 8.

Difference between last and first number = (n + 8) - n
= 8

Very easy problem lol.

the answer is 864. because the largest number is 987 and the smallest number is 123 and they ask the difference of them, so you subtract 987 from123 and you get 864!

To figure it out, divide 123,456,789,987,654,321 by 9.

You get 13,717,421,109,739,369

To find out the nine consecutive numbers, simply change the last three digits (369) eight times. Four above 369 and four below so you will repeat the answer nine times as follows:

13,717,421,109,739,373
13,717,421,109,739,372
13,717,421,109,739,371
13,717,421,109,739,370
13,717,421,109,739,369
13,717,421,109,739,368
13,717,421,109,739,367
13,717,421,109,739,366
13,717,421,109,739,365

Those are your nine consecutive numbers, so 13,717,421,109,739,373 (the largest) minus 13,717,421,109,739,365 (the smallest) is 8 (the difference).
