They aren't fleas - fleas don't fly. They aren't mosquitos as those are bigger than these bugs. I'm still looking for more info on these things but, they are VERY annoying!! And, they do leave an itchy bump like a mosquito.

look up Noseeums No see ums. These are tiny
bugs that fly, and bite. And...you don't see them!
They do bite humans and animals. Itch and swell.
Spray area with a good bug spray. CH
