Why do kids drink?

we drink cuz it nums the pain inside of wht we feel its acutally better then cuting

To be cool, because they arent supposed to and teen like to rebel, because its something new. The main one though, to be cool and fit in. Usually though the opposite happens…they drink too much and end up looking like idiots, or driving and killing someone.

out of curiosity,if your friends are trying it you feel you should try it,to look cool with your friends!

i’ll tell you why. because were not allowed to, we want to try it. and at 15 your drawn to it almost.

i have drunken to much, and looked like am idiot, and i admit it. i was stupid. because at this age we’re very curious with ourselves, with everything. and we want to try all these new things. it is stupid. but you can’t stop it.

I drink because its something just me and my boyfriend do together every now and then. I dont do it to be cool, if i wanted to i would go to a party and do it…i do it because i have a good time when im drunk. but i have an even better time when im sober, so i dont do it much

the same reason why adolescent rats start taking risks in maze tests. At this age, risk-taking behaviour sets in and you are more curious and seek out new experiances.

They have done studies in rats where they do not let them engage in this risk-taking behaviour and as a result they are unable to interact socially. Of course, when you’re talking about alcohol consumption in teens, this also can impair brain development so you get an interesting trade-off
