What the hell is up with this new 'cool' music? Like, wherever you turn to on the radio or much music or whatnot, it's all Natasha Bedingfield, Snoop Dogg, Britney Spears, Soulja Boy and other crap. Firstly, the singers don't have any talent or very...

limited because the instruments are all computer generated and computers make their voices sound 20000 times better. Secondly, the music is boring and repetitive. Thirdly, most music videos are filled with sex and clubs and it lowers girls' self esteem especially, and they sometimes go to bad limits to try to look like the music stars, which is silly, cause in real life without makeup those girls look average. The music is BRAINWASH. What happened to the good old days when there were REAL stars around? Like Freddie Mercury or John Lennon. Fans were crowding to go to their concerts for very good reasons- those singers were GOOD and truly talented. Nowadays kids are all Jonas Brothers who will be forgotten in half a year and be replaced with another stupid band. What's wrong with today's music!? Who actually likes listening to much music junk!? Doesn't it brainwash you!? Does anyone agree the old stuff is better!?

Mainstream music is indeed crap, but new music doesn't necessarily mean crap music. There are tons of excellent bands that do not get much airtime, but that's because mainstream music... is meant for the main stream of people and unfortunately that means today's music generally has tons of 13-16 year olds as it's target audience. Try Death From Above 1979, dEUS, MGMT, Wolfmother and Pendulum's latest album if you can stand some Drum Bass.

I agree, everytime we turn on the music channels, its all RnB, I had an argument with my sis over this yesterday, she disagreed with me, but its true, they dont play their own instruments, their lyrics mean not much!

you know I actually agree with captainmunch. not all good music nowadays are crap. only mainstream ones. I found a couple of cool bands through my friend, who also has a band. and some others on myspace. but seriously, all those jonas bros, miley cyrus, akon, and whatever is crap.
