Is this racist or not?

I think that it is racist to think a person should like his or her own race. You should not have blind loyalty to anyone. What do you think?

as for blind loyalty, well yes that can be problematic...

I don't think it's racist to like your own race, you should - where it comes into play is you blindly follow, rubber-stamp, everything a person says/does simply because they have your color skin - as in voting for 'color' rather the 'character content'.

Just because you don't like the way people act doesn't mean that you're racist, however if you stereotype every person in a certain race the same way then you are.

I think you all are misunderstanding my question. I am asking if a person should have to like his or her race because he or she is that race.

what does like your race mean exactly? first of all race is a subjective thing... secondly, all people in a race do not behave a certain way, so what exactly are you disliking? and well you are of that race? do you dislike yourself? or do you somehow see yourself as different and therefore superior? this is a loaded question... disliking your own race is no different from disliking any other race... making it racist...

I think that race doesn't matter. I know allot of people that are white, who like black people and they're like, 'I can;t date them, they're black! What'll people say?'

Sure, people can date their own race, but they need to date people of all races, not just their own.

well that's not racism...racism is hating the other race..

racism is discriminating against any race... (it doesnt exclude your own race)
