Is the matrix real so our "world" is a dream?

I’m starting to question the reality of this world and I want to know what everybody else thinks. Is the matrix real are we all living in a dream? Just think have you ever woke up from a dream that seemed so real you didn’t know if you were still dreaming. So if you had a dream that was so real but you didn’t wake up from it would you know you were dreaming?

Just think about this before you answer my question.

Well, in a way I believe certain aspects of a particular theory of existence beyond us.
Picture this, we are all on this plain.. There are spirits on other plains, and places not here.
Do I believe in a 'Matrix' as in the movie, not exactly.. Do I Believe in other realms, defiantly.

probably not. your probably just thinking that because you saw the movie recently (I had similar thoughts to lol.) But it is possible that our world, our universe might just be an illusion or simulation of something bigger. We may never know.. even if we are some kind of computer generated universe and someone turned off the power we wouldnt find out..we would be gone.

Also agree with poster above there's gotta be other realms, right?

The only thing you can certain of is that you exist. Decarts' Cogito Ergo Sum or 'I think therefore I am' speaks of this. Everything else could be illusion but the fact that you as an agent can think proves that you exist in some manner.

If you found the movie 'The Matrix' thought provoking rent the movie 'The Thirteenth Floor.' Similar story but with a better plot but not as good special effects.

If there was no reality, you would have nothing from which to base dreamstates begin with.

Hate to put it this way but you could've just asked us all does Jesus and God really exsist.
Or you could've asked how could life come out of the Big Bang. Or something like who really perfected the world to what it is. Such as the Skies and Oceans. Who degsigned them all? Or was it just a Explosion that made us and everything what it is.
So how the heck am I supposed to know?

Mmm if this is world is not real then what does it matter? I look at it as this is the closes thing a saved person will ever get to hell and the closes thing that an unsaved or 'lost' person will ever get to heaven. the world is really what you make it..it all depends on what you believe nad how you think realy so it is just a matter of opinon really.

The Machines make movies like The Matrix as a form of reverse-psychology, to make us think it's all fiction and just in the movies.
