Is everything just a perspective issue?

Asked by fau 3 months ago, 4 answers.

Is there really a right or wrong, or is everything just a perspective issue? I mean, whats wrong to one person may be right to another...which makes something completely that issue. Like, killing someone who deserved it or getting revenge. It may be wrong to someone who doesn't know the situation, but right to who does. And then theres religion telling people whats right and wrong without looking into reasons. So is there really a right and wrong or is everything just someones view on things?

Not perspective, more often 'spin' to attempt to justify known wrong.

Nothing is black and white... so yes it is always someone's view on things...

There really is a right or wrong FOR YOU. It is determined by the society within which you live. Right or wrong is determined by what is best for the survival of the particular society that you are a part of.

Part of the definition of society is:

A group of humans broadly distinguished from other groups by mutual interests, participation in characteristic relationships, shared institutions, and a common culture.
The institutions and culture of a distinct self-perpetuating group.

Accordingly, what's right or wrong for one society may be different in another society.

well obviously there are things that are wrong
like killing, rape, shooting, ect
but yes its also a perspective thing
however I think some things are wrong (like those) no matter who does it
religion and all that is just another bunch of opinions
but what I think is wrong is when they urge people to beleive in what they do...
athiets dont tell christians how to live...were not out on the street convincing people not to beleive in god...and without respect people will get none in return
