Is anyone?

Is anyone a protecitve brother sister of little sibling?

When I was younger (in about fifth grade), I was extremely protective of my younger brother. He was only in third grade and these other fifth graders were picking on him, and actually punching him between the legs, while I was on the bus; so when I was getting off I took the main kid, pushed him up against the window of the bus by his collar and told him that if he every touched my brother again he wouldn’t be happy. He left my brother alone from then on. I also chased this one kid down after he ran over my brothers friend (he was in third grade too) and pushed him off his bike. The kid tried to kick me when both feet in the air after that and I caught his feet and pushed him away about five feet onto the ground and he ran away with his bike.

Yeah, I was a little ruff as a kid but I wouldn’t do any of those things now lol. Now that he’s 14 I don’t worry as much because he can take care of himself. However, now that he’s older we both have each others back. Of coarse, there’s no way I would go punch a kid for calling my brother a name but I protect my family to the best of my ability. I’m 16 now and I know that fighting’s not the right thing. I stood up for my brother when he was little because he wasn’t able to because he was young.

It’s not a bad thing to be protective of a younger sibling, you just have to do it the right way. I was wrong to go off after the kid on the bike and get into a bit of a scuffle with him but I was a little kid too. I have a huge family and I’ve grown up with the phrase “protect your own.”

Hope this helped lol, sorry it’s a bit long. ~Alanna
