5'7 and 150 is not that overweight, but if you insist..
First, make sure you are going to do this the HEALTHY way. Don't make yourself throw up or skip meals. Just watch what you eat. For one day, write down EVERYTHING that you eat. How many preztels did you grab out of the bag? How many glasses of water? How many left-over halloween candies did you pop in your mouth? If you look at everything you eat when the day is done, you may realize that you are eating way more than neccesary. It can be an inspiration to start eating healthier.
Always eat breakfast. It gets your metabolism (the thing that burns calories) going early in the morning so it works all day. Skipping breakfast can actually cause you to gain weight.
Buy a workout video. It doesn't have to be expensive. I'm sure you can go to Goodwill and buy an 80's version for $1.00 and it will work just as well as the modern ones.
Realize that it's going to take effort and time. You should only be losing 2-3 lbs a week. It may sound little, but it will add up over time.

I'm 13 too and trying to loose weight also ! I find that my prob. is eating when im not hungry tho. What works 4 me is eating healthy dinners and well I dont eat the lunch @ school so my mom packs me healthys ! I was 206 now im 186 I've only been watching what I eat 4 2 months ! hope it helpe d :D
