What level to magikarp evolve at in pokemon?

Magikarp evolves at level 21. It takes a while but its worth it after. The best thing to do is to have Magikarp as your first pokemon to come out and fight and before Magikarp gets attacked pull it out and put a different pokemon in that way Magikarp will get the experience points or use a lot of the pokemon candy that you can buy at some of the stores later in the game. It's been a long time since I played but I have a book on this stuff from years ago when pokemon first came out. Hope I helped!
