How do I get my poetry published?

I have been writing my own poems. But I have want them published now. But how I do that. What would be safe to publish poems. What would be the right company to publish my poems? I just want to know and how. I am just wondering what companies that I could look up on the internet that I could probably go for that would publish my poems. My poems are real good. But I was wondering what would be a good site for publishing poems on. What would be a good poem publisher to publish my poems now? I do want to be sure. I just need all the advice that I need from this now. What should I do to make this work?

Make copies of your work and mail them to yourself.

Do not open..the post mark 'could ' verify that you are the author if you needed proof.

Then find publishing co. that specifically work with poems.

my opinion is 4 you to put it on myspace or publish it and sell them to family members so the can pass them on to friends

The post date could protect your work against copyright infringement.
Contact copyright lawyer and have them give you instructions as to copyrighting stuff yourself. I think it's only about 25.00 per piece.
