What diet program will help me lose weight by thanksgiving?

im about 5'10 and i weight about 215-220 pounds. Yeah i know im overweight, but im looking for a diet program that will get me to about 180-190. II need to lose this weight before the first day of basketball practice starts,which is about the day after...

thanksgiving so i have about 7-8 weeks or so...I have an exercise program already which last 6 weeks to help me get in shape for basketball so if someone could help me out i would really be thankful

Hi,

The way to lose weight is through healthy diet and exercise. Eat 4-6 SMALL meals a day, consisting of lean meats, whole-grain starches, fruits and vegetables. Set up your plate so 1/4 is meat, 1/4 is starch, 1/2 is fruit and veggies, and there is minimal fat.

If you do this as well as drink 8 glasses of water a day and exercise for 30 min a day a few times a week, you will see healthy results.

Eat smaller portions at meals of fresh fruit, veggies, whole grains, lean meats, like skinles chicken, turkey breast, loin trype meats, and fish. Choose whole grain products like wheat flour instead of white flour products, (breads, cereals, pasta, and rice) Choose fat free or low fat cheese, and milk products, yogurts, steer away from processed foods, fast foods, and fried foods. Try and cut out cakes, cookies, and salty snacks, like chips. Need a snack, eat a handful of nuts or seeds or fruit. Cut out soda or any presweetened drinks and drink lots of water everyday, If you cut out products that contain high fructose corn syrup you'll be amazed how much weight you'll lose with just cutting down on your sugar consumption. Learn how to read the nutritional labels on what your eating, and stick to the one portion size. Eat less, exercise more! Workout and target all muscle groups, 30-60 minutes a day 4-5 times a week. weights, running, resistance training, jogging, biking just move your body, it speeds up your metabolism and burns body fat.
