Hey I am 16 and I can't stand living here with my mom and step dad! It is crazy. My mom has kicked me out of the house more times then I can count. She has had me arrested for being a runaway after she kicked me out. I want to file for Emancipation but I am not sure how long it takes or what you have to do. I can get a apartment with my boyfriend. I also don't know if I move out of state if I have to file in PA or in OH? PLEASE HELP ME ASAP!! Thank You

u have 2 prove tha your mother is an unfit mother and that you are emontialy and mentally ready. also that you r self-sufficent and can support urself w/o them. you have to file were your rents live because technically they stil have cusotdy of you and are still responsible 4 you until your emancipated.

OK that helps a little bit...now do I move out after the ruling or before to prove that I can handle my own?

On google you can look up your current city and state laws and then type in emancipation. You can also go to your local court house, and get filing papers, and fees.
