How can I stay on a diet for once?

me Asked by dani92693 about 1 year ago, 2 answers.

I've tried dieting and exercising and it really helps to lose weight but I have a lot of trouble staying on a diet because I get hungry when surrounded by people that eat what ever they want. how do I stay motivated?

Try drinking a lot of water during the day. It keeps you hydrated, and you seem to stay full during those hours when you'd rather be snacking. Tell your friends you are trying to shed a few pounds and maybe they'll try to curb their snacking when you are around. They probably won't totally stop (especially if they are hungry), but there are many low calorie snacks you can take with you. Just make a conscious decision about what you put in your mouth, and know that you will feel good about your decisions. Good luck.

I've lost over forty pounds--after not being able to stick to a diet for years. I did it by giving up on diets and embracing a healthy lifestyle instead. I know it sounds corny, but it is true. I joined SparkPeople.com--it is totally free. There are other "weight loss" and "healthy lifestyle" sites out there too, find the one that works best for you. I just learned about how and what to eat, tracked it, began exercising, etc. Also, the water advice is great. Not only is good for you, but when you drink enough water, it gives your metabolism a kick.
