Hi,
The way to lose weight is through healthy diet and exercise. Eat 4-6 SMALL meals a day, consisting of lean meats, whole-grain starches, fruits and vegetables. Set up your plate so 1/4 is meat, 1/4 is starch, 1/2 is fruit and veggies, and there is minimal fat.
If you do this as well as drink 8 glasses of water a day and exercise for 30 min a day a few times a week, you will see healthy results.

If weight loss was easy nobody would be overweight. Another problem is that the closer you get to your ideal weight the harder loosing weight becomes. Plateaus are the hardest thing to deal with. The thing is that while you are on a plateau and you don't seen your weight dropping you may be improving in other ways. If you are on a good diet than have faith in it and keep on it even when you are not seeing immediate results.
Don't go too crazy about your weight fluctuating. A pint of water weighs a pound and your weight can vary a few lbs because of different levels of hydration. After I eat a salty Chineese or Thai meal my weight jumps up a few lbs. To get a more accurate weight I weigh myself several days in a row and use the weight I got most often.
