How to repair a stripped screw hole?

My keyboard tray got lose on one side from leaning on it. So can anybody help me with how to repair a stripped screw hole? I like the keyboard where it is, and if I drill new holes, the keyboard will be in a different position, so I'd like to repair the...

use toothpicks and wood glue to refill the stripped hole, snapping them off near the lip of the hole. Let the glue dry and drive the same screw into the repaired area. This trick works for doors, cabinets, or anything with hinges that a wider screw won't help. Don't buy expensive patching compounds, they don't work very well at all. This method works very well.

take screw out put a drop or two of wood glue in it and then stick a toothpicks in it till the hole fills up break them off put screw back in and let sit till glue dries
