How to grow more than 1 trunk on a money tree?

Asked by lessa over 2 years ago, 1 answer.

I have had a money tree for a little over a year now. It's still relatively small, and it only has 1 stem/trunk. Is there a way to promote multiple stem/trunk growth so I can eventually braid it? Or will more trunks grow on their own? Thanks for any...

help/advice anyone can give me.

Hi,

You could propagate pachiras from cuttings/side shoots. Often you will notice new shoots coming out of the trunks. Carefully remove these shoots and transplant it. It will take some time but if you are lucky it will root and you will be blessed with another pachira plant.

Hope that helps.
