How do you get to be an advisor on funadvice? Can anybody apply to become one?

Probably because he runs the site and he wanted to pose a question that many people ask him and provide the answer happy

Great question! We promote people to advisor status that reply to questions
with good grammar, spelling, and punctuation, as well as thought provoking,
honest helpful advice.

If you reply to questions in a friendly way, and try to help people, as
well as use good spelling and sentence structure, punctuation, etc - then
we'll be happy to promote you.
