How to become a better singer

Hi
I have a really good voice not to sound cocky or anything but thats what people tell me. But I want to try to make it somewhere but not like britney spears kinda sutff I just want to be a better singer what can I do. Do you have any tips.

Practice, learn more music such as a piano to get yourself into perfect pitch tune. Also exercise, as when you can breath better, you can probably sing better too.

Practice!
Singing is alot more than simply singing. Breath control, diction, pitch, tone, timbre... tons of things go into it.

I practice songs and record them to see what I sound like. Compare yourself to other singers and critique yourself! No matter what there is ALWAYS something to improve on, so you'll always find a critique. You're in trouble if you say wow that was perfect!

you should research some voice techniques, and stuff like that. If you are serious about singing maybe it might be a good idea to invest in some vocal lessons... If you lived near me I'd help you... I dont have any students these days... buisness kinda dies off after the summer... :p

and well, you have to make sure you aren't singing through your nose..
you may not think you are, but it's possible..

hey im a good singer too (also not to be cocky) but all you have to do is practice.
Josh Groban uses pretty much all the proper techniques so maybe listen to
him. If you learn to use some of his techniques then you will get better. I did.

Try 2 find the right voice 4 yourself and practice. GOOD LUCK!!!

hey , My names thea watch me on utube type in thea kate and I will come up , I sing and Yesterday my confidence went way down when I did a competition and all my friends got thro0ugh exept me and I was thinking of quiting but I have A voice and Im not going to waste it . The best thing to do is practice and I am a total hypocrite Because I dont practice and thats why im crap and dont wint things so PRACTICE , PRACTICE , PRACTICE and Get a vocalcoach

Great teacher and person. After 30 years off, I fired the voice up again. At 51 I'm better then ever. I took lessons from Roger in LA and he help me get on the right track. If you can't take lessons in person use the web. There is so much help there. You Tube has some great teachers. Nothing takes the place of practice. Celine Dion still takes lessons and practices every day. Thats why she is the best!! The differences in GOOD and GREAT are very small. Well I CAN sing aLSO not being cocky cause I know im not the best or the worst I sing at school and stuff but I still have things to work on .. Well this helps clear your throat im a great singer. (not being cocky) I'v been singing since I could talk which helped but you can try to gargle the egg whites in chicken eggs ( DO BOT SWALLOW) and try to gargle salt water bfore you sing I wish you best of luck!! hope my things help you like the helped me! p.s if you have a strong voice try to sing an Evanescence song like Bring Me To Life you'll enjoy it for her strong voice!
