How should I consider enlistment?

I’ve lately really been considering joining the air force. My best friend is already currently enlisted and preparing for basic this summer. I know that it would do me a great deal of good and it would challenge me greatly which is exactly what I want. However, no one would expect this from me and tear me apart because they would think I was doing it for the wrong reasons such as doing it because he is. And I won’t lie and say that he isn’t an influence but I know that if I thought that the only reason I was considering enlisting was because he would be there I would not do it. I just don’t know how to determine if I should do it or not.

Well I’m a former Marine and glad that I did served my country. No one can take that from me and I’m proud of it. The military can be tough (air force maybe not as much) but it can be very rewarding too. Good luck either way.

It’s your career we talking about here,do you see passion in it or some flimsy factors are responsible.If formal is your choice,then i encourage you to pursue it but latter,i say drop the idea
