It would be considered emo I guess in a sense, but most their songs sound alt. rock/ punk. most people just look at how they dress and yell EMO!! even though that how some of the band dress is Punk.

They are an emo band but I still love there songs they are great and I dont really give a dam what people think about me its there problem if they dont like it

aaarrrggh! I dont really like mcr that much anymore but it still annoys me that people just have their set stereotypes and think theyre right and that people can die because of it and depressede kids that do end up slitting their wrists and happen to listen to bands like mcr get slagged off for being emo when their dead, for goodness sake, why cant people just accept that there are people in the world that get depressed!

a lot of people think they're emo, but they'r aren't. In a interveiw Frank Iero even said that they weren't emo. But he didn't care if people thought they were cause they were just MCR. Original. Themselves.
