I'm not sure...he sings quite a bit about things that are emo...I'm not into labels, liking labeling people. But music is different so yes, and alternative too.

MCR fit the 'emo' stereotype I mean all they do is make music about how Sh!t life is. They don't give young fans postitives do they ?

Sometimes life is...it's mostly how people percieve them though... 'young fans' are not going to go out there and kill themselve or anything, or cut...or be depressed...the people who listen to them could be the happiest people in the world. I listen to them and like them, and I'm fine...I have my ups and downs...that's about it...

Emo to me, is just a nother label that someone wants to put on another person.

no they aren't. my chemical romance are an alternative band. but people will perceive the music they hear in any way they want. so someone who calls themselves emo will say that they are, when they aren't.

I dont really label people, but I dont think they are emo! I havE a friend from Winnnepeg who is emo but he I sthe most awesome person to be around he I senergetic and happy! I have nothing against emo people, although the ones that wan tto kill themselves, they think it is hard for other people to understand what they are going through when almost every erpson in high school/ junior high go through the same thing they are really, just more sensitive and emotional.
SO yeah, just my thoughts.

MCR is definatley not emo (they're alternative rock I think) people think they're emo because of some of the darker songs about death,but really Gerard is just fasinated by death- which I think is pretty cool- so MCR is definetly no 'emo'
