How many cats can i own?

I live in michigan and I live with my mom, brother, grandma, and aunt and we have 9 cats. Well someone told on us and the cops came over and said we have to get rid of 7 of them. But my mom owns 1, I own 1 , my aunt owns 4 , and and my grandma owns 2....

And we have to find homes for them by next thursday. Im only 13 and I've lived with them almost all my life and I dont want to give them away. Help?

Its not a matter of how many you own but how many is in the house. They don't do this because of ownership reasons but for health reasons.

You'll have to check with your city or county regulations...the number of animals per household isn't a state regulation.

select online library...
select your state on the map...
select your city or county if shown...
look up available codes online...not the one to pay for them...
look up animals in the drop down list on the left...
usually you will find the laws you seek...
