You should get your kitty spayed, and forget about producing more kitties...there are millions upon MILLIONS of kitten killed...every year, because there are so many. Give your kitty a break, and give the kittens that haven't been conceived, yet, a break!
The very person who might have taken one of yours, could save a life on death row at the shelter.
phrannie
I took in a stray cat a few years ago that happened to be pregnant. She is a fairly small cat, and she had 5 kittens, but she smothered one... she just layed on it.
But I agree with Phrannie, get your cat spayed. There is already an overpopulation of cats and so many cats that cannot find homes... why would you want to purposely produce more? If it is because you want kittens for yourself to bring up and give a good home to, you could go to your local shelter and get kittens... all shelters have plenty of cats!
Hey guys, I dont think that this person is trying to participate in what is already a crisis in overpopulation of felines. Seems he/she is just curious as to how many could/will be born apon the time of delivery. It was a really simple question by him/her and taken in an extremly wrong way by some pessimists. And as part of a local Humane Society, I will say yes, its veyr important to spay/neuter both dog, and cats. But it isnt a perfect world and this is where we come in. You cant say shoulda/woulda to people when its completely after the fact. You can only be kind in educating them as to why it is good to spay/neuter and hope they take our advice for future reference. But dont be quick to judge ones question. Again, you took it from him/her completely wrong.
