How do you remove dryed-up dog feces from a wool rug?

Wool Chinese rug. A small pile of dog poop all dried up and enbedded in rug. Might have been there for months - just found it. Please help. I don’t even own a dog!.

Before you get it wet, scrape off as much of the dried as you can get…then use warm water and detergent…I know the rug is probably wool, but warm water won’t hurt a small spot. Then use cold water to dilute/rinse the detergent. If the stain comes up again, redo it…you might have to do it 2 to 4 times to completely remove the stain…(that is if poop leaves a stain…I’ve never had it be there till it was dry)…
