How do you get rid of fleas?

I live in a large one bedroom apartment and 2 cats. They are indoor cats and somehow they got fleas. I got flea powder and put it all over the carpets and everything.I have been giving my cats baths and puy flea collers on them. The fleas are bititng me...

and I am alurgic to the bites. So what is the fastest way to get rid of fleas??

If you don't have the option of getting a professional spray, here's something I found that will work if you do it right:

First, get something like Advantage or Frontline for your pets. Give it according to the recommended dosage. This will keep the fleas off your pets.

Second, buy two types of insect killer: one type kills adult fleas, the second prevents flea eggs from hatching. Make sure you buy the correct types.

Remove the pets from the area (lock them up in the bathroom or something) and spray the carpets EVERY DAY for about a week or two. That should do the trick. Continue using the Advantage/Frontline and you should never have the problem again.

try advantige for your cats and flea bomb the appt a cat will -can get fleas from you bringing them in the house on your shoes or clothing .

no need to bomb the house go to the vet ask them for revalution its the best,I have six indoor kittys there is never a flea on them,its like 30 or 40 bucks for 3 or 4 tubs depends on the vet .it works!!!
