Here's a weird solution:
1. Wet the stain with cold water
2. Coat the blood stain with powdered meat tenderizer and more cold water
3. Rub in this paste you have formed and let the shirt sit for one half hour
4. While you're waiting use this time to make sure your alibi is solid (heehee) then rinse
You can also try carpet cleaning products (Spot Shot is great). Hydrogen peroxide also works well, pour on stain, let it fizz and blott until the stain is removed. Worst case, call a mattress cleaning company, but remember that the older the stain, the harder it is to remove it.
Meg ;-)
I would like to suggest a simple solution.
1. Take some salt and mix with cold water. ( the content of salt is proportional to the area of mattress but since salt is dirt cheap, you can use more than required)
2. Soak the mattress in the solution for about 30 minutes.
3. Brush the affected area with cold water.
4. Soak the mattress again in the solution for another 30 minutes.
The catch is that try to maintain the mild acidic condition of the blood by reducing the pH value since protein is easier to be removed under mild acidic condition.

How do you get blood out of a mattress?
I was fighting with my friend on my bed (the bed had no sheets) and I accidentally got punched in the nose and started bleeding. So now I'm wondering if anyone knows how to get blood out of a white mattress?
