How do I stop my toddler from biting

My toddler is biting other children at the day care? Is this only stopped by time?

Our younger son had that problem too, from when he was about 2 years old till about 3 years old. After a lot of talking about it, time outs, etc, I think the only thing that really stopped the biting was time.
