How do I make my 2yr. old to stop saying no to me?

Asked by ajj2004 about 1 year ago, 1 answer.

Any time I tell him or ask him to do some thing. A big'NO' comes out of his mouth.I can ask him to pick up his toys or sit down for lunch and I get the same answer. It makes it really hard to not focus on the negitive when what I hear from him is negitive. Please help.

Try putting him in his room for time outs, first for five minutes, then longer - eventually he'll get the idea of who's boss, and who is in charge, etc. Kids will always struggle to manipulate you, the thing is to stay calm, remember that's their job, and yours to guide them through life Good luck.
