hey, im a hairdresser and first of all I want to say that some of the above advice did make me laugh! dry ends do not slow down hair growth as your hair grows from inside your scalp. what actually happens is dry ends can break off, making it shorter.
okay so heres my advice..
do not wash your hair everyday, this will weaken your hair.
use products to protect from heat, such as ciment thermique by kerastase. this is applied to your hair before blowdrying, and what it does is forms a barrier between the hair cuticle and the heat from your dryer, and turns the heat into good heat which fixes damaged cuticles.
kerastase do a range of reconstructive products which build up the weakend hair.
the new treatment they have brought out is perfect for you, its called volumorphose, and coats the hair cuticles making it thicker and bouncier.
do not consider hair extensions, although they are unbelievably tempting!!
extensions actually wear down the hair from the root, damaging your hair long term.
good luck xxx
when you get out the bath or shower, blow dry your hair upside down, or get some layers cut into your hair. and I think there are some volumising sprays out there aswell,my mom has thin hair and thats all the stuff what she does. I have naturally thick hair already and I dont like it, most people do though. hope this helps
Trim split ends off of your hair regularly. Dry damaged hair and split ends slow down hair growth.
Choose a mild shampoo, followed by a conditioner, that is designed for your hair type.
Eat a diet that is high in protein. Hair is made up of protein cells and needs protein to grow.
Stimulate blood flow to your scalp to encourage your hair to grow faster. Do this by doing cardio exercise. Another good way to stimulate your scalp is through massage. Use the tips of your fingers to massage your scalp for 5 minutes each day.
